 Teaching has become an increasingly popular career option. Teachers training can take place in two stages of your career. Teachers training held in universities is typically divided in to three main sections. The first section deals with academics. This section mainly deals with enhancing the knowledge level of a specific subject of the prospective teacher, so that he can teach with confidence and comfort in future. The subject could be science, any vocational or cultural area or another academic area. The second section of a typical teachers training would consist of learning about principles related to education. Often known as pedagogy, it also deals with areas of student psychology, history, sociology, etc. The third section of a teachers training program would essentially deal with giving practical training to the potential teacher. It could be a simulated class-room situation or a brief stint as a student teacher. Primary school teachers training typically train students on subjects which are outside the scope of their area of specialization. While to be a primary school teacher, you need to have a degree, to become teachers at the university level, you need to have a master’s qualification or pursuing a doctorate degree. To become a secondary school teacher you would have ideally hold a first degree and could be pursuing a master’s qualification. Some states require additional teachers’ certification and license requirements. Teachers training would also encompass this type of education. 

Teachers training which you can expect during your service period is particularly relevant during the first few years of working as a teacher. This type of training is usually imparted by school administration and other teachers who are senior and experienced. New teachers also receive mentoring help from senior teachers during their initial years of working as a teacher. Through this process of mentoring, the teacher can get a helping hand in the practical aspect of teaching as well as get to know about the progress of his proficiency level.
